Proud
So today is the Dinner/Pie Auction at church in honor of Damon. As I've been baking pies today, I've been thinking a lot about our "Young Adult" class at church. These guys make me SO proud!! As a very small church (in the midst of some tough times right now) I've been a bit concerned about our congregational future. However, after today's thoughts, I'm convinced that we have a strong future with these young adults as our future leadership! They have really taken the initiative with this event and they are INVOLVED at St. John's in so many positive ways. As I watch them get married, start families, and become a strong core of leaders for St. John's, I am so happy to call them "extended" family! And kudos to their parents for raising such great people! I couldn't be more proud of their efforts to honor a young man who truly gave everything for a better world! Hope all of you have people in your lives that are willing to go that extra mile!

anyone here?
Just wondering if anyone looks at this anymore? I see that most of you are on facebook...
Jen- how's your year end going with all that's happening at school?
Mom- I'd like to learn more about your walk in July...
Becky- Is Brie seriously going to be in 4th grade next year?!?
Emily- What new? How are things going with baby Spencer and the twins?
Melissa- Saw something about national craft day and thought of you...
Gram- Looking forward to seeing you at the mother's day banquet...
Well, Tony's in Chicago this weekend (left Friday at 5AM) with his orchestra kids. They're having a great time so far. The girls and I went shopping last night to spend some kohl's cash and a target gift card from Emily's birthday. There was "fair" set up in a parking lot- which the girls begged to see. We rode the carousel twice and they were happy. I told them we had to get home before dark (and before more scary people started coming around)- they cried for 25 minutes. Oh joyous ride home.
Today was a good day. I finally got some things planted in my garden (tomatoes, strawberries, peppers, onions) and I also bought some hanging baskets for my porch. I took Emily to choir practice at church- and then we came home and all had short naps. I made pizza for dinner. Tomorrow we're going to mom and dad's for a bit after church.
Let me know how you all are...
Love, Suzy
